Since you may or may not be able to recycle all kids of bottle caps, they are one of my fave resources for minis projects.

Repurpose comes before recycle, anyway.

Nice work. I saved up a number of pill bottles, to cover with labels with stone pillar textures printed on them. Would make nice columns, fast, and easy… I cut the first prototype, using an X-acto knife -- very dangerous to cut them like that, also difficult to keep the cut straight, and level.

My band saw grabbed, and shattered, the plastic, when I tried cutting them. Asked my carpenter nephew if he thought a chop saw would do better: "Why don't you just use a wooden dowel?…" Pill bottles will go into the dumpster soon. I will be making use of his chop saw -- to cut up the 1-1/2" wide dowel I bought, into column-sized pieces.

It is all about experimenting. Sometimes it works, sometimes it won't. Gotta try, though. Good luck! Cheers!
