Considering adding a Crusder army in 15mm to my collections. Who makes suitable figures? So far I know about: - Essex
- Gladiator
- Mirliton
- Old Glory
- Legio Heroica
Who am I missing? |

Alternative Armies has some Normans and early medieval. And they are on sale until the 16th. THey are missing turcopoles. There is also Museum. And Viking Forge has Normans, Byzantines, Generic Feudal, and Arabs that would work. |

Well, I'm only doing Crusaders to start, so I'll add those to the list! |

Just found this page. When you throw in Normans, there is LOTS to choose from! link |

Legio Heroica are brilliant. I like some of the Museum Miniatures too. |

Legio Heroica and the new Blue Moon line would be my choices. They are mixable too. |

Donnington New Era do a 12th century range, which is OK for Crusades. link |

Most ranges suit either 1st Crusade or 6th/7th/8th/9th Crusades. I think LH and Donnington offer enough of the features of different eras to do the other crusades as well. I don't think they are compatible though. Gladiator has a Feudal range and a Crusades range. The Feudal figures are IMHO better. I think the Crusades figures are larger, though that is based on the similar Renaissance figures I have. |

Okay, so I guess the short answer to this is "everyone" |

Another recommendation for Legio Heroica – beautiful figures |

Ditto Legio Heroica. Also look at the later medieval range. |

I'll put in good word for Outpost. But will add that a lot of 'Dark Ages' and '1066' and 'El Cid' figures could reasonably be found trekking through Anatolia in 1096… Be – in larger meaning – 'catholic' in your selection ;-) |
