The Battle for Fort Worth, an All Quiet on the Martian Front Battle report.

The Southern Front has gone to hot war. The Martians are focusing their efforts to taking the city of Dallas, and to do so, they plan to surround the city first in a double pincer movement. General Funston has set up defenses in the east at Tyler, and in the west at Fort Worth.

The battle at Tyler was a near run thing, but in the end, its defenders were in full retreat and closely pursued. Now it is Fort Worth's turn.

Great AAR! It's about time those Martians got a whoopin'!

Thank you. For this battle, we adjusted the points so the humans cost 80% the list value, but that did not really come into play as 2 tank platoons and most of the infantry were never revealed. Total value about 800 points of 2400.

This was a case of extreme bad luck on the side of the Martian. The 4 Assault Tripods took a total of 8 hits, but the first 3 results on the Martian Tripod damage tables was 10, 9,9 (blows up, crumbles to the ground, crumbles to the ground) The 4th had a series of hits, which is normal, but one of the results was an 8, (reroll die, apply result as damage) for another 8 points, taking it down to an armor value of 2 very quickly. At that point the rifles could have picked it off. But it was the first 3 rolls that sealed the deal.
