Already has for me. Long ago. Seems to be a LOT of people, even here, preordering items or crowdfunding them too. |

A lot depends on the type of goods and possibly the source. Things like clothing, shoes and such really need to be experienced & tried on – what could help save the B&M store is having a wide range of samples & efficient delivery from a centralized warehouse. In some ways we are heading back to the 19th Century Sears Roebuck Mail Order world where there is less expectation of instant gratification – order it now and expect it to arrive in a week or two. The converse of this are the dodgy merchandisers who claim to be locally based & having stock that conforms to local standards, but just have a share office address somewhere (if that) and are really located on another continent – aided and abetted by aggregators like Amazon & Ebay. |
