I'm doing some shield for 15mm figures. The shields are maybe a third of the figure, so 5mm? I don't want to do complex heraldry, just some simple geometric shapes (crosses, squares, chevrons etc.) What would be the best size? 1mm? 0.25mm? i guess I also need a basic color selection. What brand would be good? I tried some kids gel pens, but the opacity was worthless. |

I have always used 0.5mm pens, an 0.25 black is good for fine details only, and is a tad fragile! I go to art shops and use Pilot and Staedler fibre tipped. |

Pigma Brush pens, a variety of colors, red, blue, green, orange, black, and brown. The tips run from heavy to very very fine. Just remember to securely cap them after use. They cover pretty well, I use them to do 15mm flags, and most recently horse tack. |
