I like the yellow of the king's tunic: bright, but not overly so. I also like that the colors aren't overly dark, hence didn't sit in the dye vats a long time, soaking up expensive dyes. I'm trying to remember to keep my colors lighter when I paint. Cloth (and other things) in my 21st century world is the same price, no matter what the color (labor is the main cost driver), so it takes an effort to remember that it wasn't always so. Grelber |
