GW is releasing another boxed set for massive games of 40K.

Not exactly my bag, if I want to play with titans I'll just do AT, but it will make some people happy I'm sure.

The picture sure looks neat.

Was hoping this would be the next iteration of Epic 40K rather than full-scale 40K. Wonder what will come in the box?

Movement trays for one thing. You can see them in the video.

Playing off war of the ring for sure.

I feel Epic is more logical. Most people would not have the room, let alone money for full sized Titan battles.

GW (and shareholders, many nonhobbyists for sure) are desperate for people to keep buying and need to find ways of trying to make it sound sensible. Having multiple armies may not be, as you usually use only one at a time. 1 Huuuge army however…(still sounds silly to me)

Even in studio pics they have done copy paste. Even GWs armies may not be as big as they want yours to be.

Yes. Epic. They already want you to put multiple figures on one tray. A smaller scale would help.

Apocalypse will always be popular because of crazy gamers who want to play a beers-and-pretzels team-based mashup or "free for all" with all their 40K toys on a giant table, or rather many tables put together.

"Playing off war of the ring for sure."

Yeah, War of the Ring was released in 2009.

Warhammer 40K apocalypse was released in 2007.

Even having one army is not sensible. If you want sensible you should spend your money on comfortable shoes or investing in your retirement. This is for pure fun and there is a lot of it to be had. Having multiple armies is more fun than having one. I don't typically do the Apocalypse thing, although my 30K World Eaters are probably big enough to do nothing else with.
