Finding time for the hobby recently has been difficult. When I have had the opportunity I have not always been in the right frame of mind to enjoy it. So I haven't been very productive but I have still been tinkering away.

With these 20mm Newline Designs African elephants I now have the elements for Zama with Lost Battles. They will be useful for Raphia also, Ptolemy's African elephants facing off against Antiochus' Indian elephants:

Nice and simple design, very nice paint work and basing.

Love the "Elephant Corps" shields (last photo).
Why didn't I think of that!

Nice! Got to love Elephants. Have to say I always prefer towers on my nellies though just a guy(s) just sat on the back always seems a bit of anti-climatic compared to a tower full of guys:)

Cheers guys! "Elephant Corps" was just what I was thinking when I was looking through my transfer sheets.

Yeah the towered elephants do look more impressive. I'm vaguely aware there is debate on whether some elephants were able to carry a tower with a full complement but they win on looks alone for me!
