Anyone had any luck using the cheap 2" trees from China with no bases? i just flocked them and they look pretty good, just cant figure out how to month them. |

I create bases for multiple trees out of air dry clay. The size varies but 2" to 3" long and 2' wide. Thickness is about 1/4". I paint them when the clay is dry and drill holes for the trees. I then flock them. Scroll through to the Wavre pictures to see what I am talking about. I didn't have time to flock the bases. link Terry |

Hot glue them to vinyl tiles. Those are heavy, inexpensive, and can be cut to shape with scissors. Use a high-temp hot-glue gun for best results. |

I also use air dry clay. My method is identical to Mr. Callahan's. |

All trees which are flat on the bottom are glued to a suitably wide base. Trees which are not flat on the bottom have a hole drilled in the base so you can insert the wire or whatever. One solution or the other works for all trees. |
