You did, but my comment there still applies. This what they really looked like, not the 28mm "work of art" that we all try to create, with maybe two dozen figures at most. |

The work of art comes when you combine them all on the table.
Thing thing with the 2mm stuff is, it's so cheap, and so fast to paint, that I'm having a hard time narrowing down which battle I want to do in 1:1. Borodino is tempting, and very do-able. Aspern-Essling at 1:1 is also a possibility. Wagram is the battle I'm most interested in, but its too big for 1:1 (by a lot, depth-wise). Gettysburg would actually work, and that's on the list as well. I need to pick something to put out there for advertising purposes though. I'm trying to scale-up my sales this year and a big 1:1 event game is going to be a part of the push. |

They look great.I really like the idea. Is the battalion broken up in companies so it can be realigned as column or square? What about cavalry and artillery? Is there a rules set for this scale? Thank you for sharing. |

The battalion is made up of 6 company-sized bases in correct formation. Each officer and NCO is standing in the appropriate spot based on my research. I also have French, Russian, Prussian, and British units done. There are also artillery, cavalry, lancers, train, buildings, windmills, a palace, two cathedrals, a modular city wall set… all in the same 2mm scale which aims at 1:1 figure ratio (but which you can use for higher ratios like 2:1, 3:1, etc). You can download them to print yourself here: forwardmarchstudios.com All of the figures on my website are designed by me and available in the Library. They cost a few pennies to a quarter each to print out via an online hub. As far as rules go; they work with any ruleset you want to base them for. You could easily use these units for Black Powder, for instance. I also have several dozen variants on the infantry bases. They come in 2,3, and 4 rank varieties, and on 20mm, 30mm, 40mm, and 60mm bases. The "deployed" variant that you see here are in odd sizes because they're designed with the sole purpose of having the correct number of men in a given footprint. As such, they aren't on bases with rounded numbers. But that said the models and the bases are printed as one piece, so that shouldn't ever be an issue. |

I need to buy a 3d printer now. |

Just use a hub: treatstock.com Fast, cheap, and easy. I use a guy named RexRoi in Los Angeles, but there are printers all over the world on the hub. The prints are great (in gray and blue; I recommend gray). You can also get price quotes after uploading the files you want to print. I'm looking at order over 600 French infantry companies soon, to use in all sorts of 1:1 battles. I'm getting quoted $75.00 USD, which is only 12.5 centers per base. Not too bad! |

Just double-up: - foot base = two companies (one grand division) - section base = infantry guns for a brigade - horse base = two squadrons (one austrian division or one french super-squadron) |

Stoppage- That's a trick I've oftne done with these figures. My range has been around for a little over two years, and it has developed quite a bit over that time. These models are only the latest additions (and based on sales, I think they are the most popular). 2:1 scale with these figures is really the way to go. 1:1 is great for the sheer coolness of it, but 2:1 gives you the depth across the table that you really need to put on a full-sized battle. At 2:1, pretty much any battle is possible. That's still a lot of figures. |
