Dragon has announced a new 1/144th scale "Mini Armor Series". The first 10 kits have been announced, all German. My hope is future releases will concentrate on allied equipment. But at least good news for those of us into 1/144th gaming.

Quite a few years ago Dragon released several German kits in 1/144th. They came two to the box, two different models (for example a Hetzer and a Jagdpanzer IV in same box). These were pretty detailed, came with decals and even some photo etch. Prices back then were $4.99 USD a box.

These appear to be $7 USD a box, and unless it is hidden, it appears just one kit per box. Pricey

But at least available. Thanks for posting

Tiger I, Kingtiger Porsche, Kingtiger Henschel, Jagdtiger Henschel… sounds like the series has been designed with wargamers in mind!

Well they do what sells :) Also the IV G, IV H, Stug IIIf, Stug IV and Sig 33 so not a bad start.

And yes, $7 USD retail and one per box but imagine will be able to find a bit cheaper once they go to some of the retailers. They are cheaper than some of the quality casts out there (thinking the superb Arrowhead line) but based on Dragon's last foray into plastic kits in this scale will be well detailed. Only down side is will be kits so remains to be seen how many pieces/steps.

Wish these were preassembled and painted, as opposed to being kits.

1/100th scale vehicle kits from some manufacturers are less expensive.

I do like the smaller scale, since there's more maneuvering room on the tabletop for combat.

Dragon used to make the kits in this scale years ago based on the same ones pre-made and painted. I bought many of them which came in 2 in a box. They were fiddly to put together but worth the effort. It seems the new ones maybe less fiddly but could just be the same as before but re-packaged?
