Does anyone know of a manufacturer that produces a set of Modern US infantry with a ground surveillance radar in 6MM? Suitable for the 1980s.

I've petitioned several manufacturers to make some, but so far no dice.
You could probably get away with putting a scratchbilt one on a normal HMG tripod.

Thanks for the heads up Jarrovian.

Look up AN/MPQ-4, AN/PPS-6, 11, 12, 15, AN/TPQ-36, 37. These are from Jane's Weapon Systems 1983-84. Quickly scanning the US ground based radar section and culling systems which searched the ground or were weapons locating radars gave me these names. How many actually came into existence, were given other names or designations when actually bought is another thing. Some looked a lot like the British mortar locating radar of the time, some looked like described on the GHQ forum (mount a dish about 1.5 ft square on top of a mortar), and some looked like small air surveillance radars (square antennae about 6 to 8 feet per side mounted to various suitable trucks, raised into place). Hope this helps as a start.

As an FYI, Andy at Heroics & Ros says that they intend to sell a generic NATO Ground Surveillance Radar pack by the end of the year.

Here is his Email:

It going to be a ZB-298 the might also do the MSTAR and the AN/PPS-5B
I am looking at what the soviets used.
Do you have any other suggestions.

The radars are relatively easy to do but the crew will we the same for all of them.

I would send him any suggestions that you might have.
