Maybe I should put on my eyeglasses, but I did not see anything like "modern", "contemporary", "post WW2", "late 20th Century". Or does all of that fit into "British Colonial", following the view that the entire world is still adjusting to Britain's dominance of the 18th and 19th Centuries? |

I would think itīs because they werenīt nominated in the original proposal, but as I havenīt read it all the way through I canīt be certain of that. |

The whole poll is very suspect. Why differentiate "British Colonial" and "19th Century Colonial", and then stick in several discrete colonial campaigns as well? |

I checked the pre Poll Suggestion thread. None of those you complain about being missing were nominated. Nor did I see your name nominating anything. EVERY SINGLE TIME someone complains about a "deserving" choice not being available in a poll, the exact scenario in the above paragraph applies. Sorry, but it's all on you.  Dear Editor will not add choices to a poll that were not nominated. Ranker, they were nominated. |

I never see most pre poll suggestion topics even though I'm subscribed to that section of the forums, they simply don't appear on my front page.
For example I never even saw the D&D spell nomination thread.
I've no idea why this is, but I assume that that's what's happening here.
So I feel very much free to note omissions, and will continue to do so. |

Most of the polls are based on nearly year old pre poll suggestions. They take some time to reach the poll stage. |

I just picked a couple polls at random, compared and then averaged the dates. You have to leave a discussion open for awhile to get all the suggestions. Than you have to take time to set up the poll. Not surprised it can take some time. I catch a lot of poll suggestions in topics you could easily miss. Some just start as a person asking a question than a poll just kind of morphs from it. |
