the as-4 kitchen and as-6 kingfish were coldwar anti-ship missiles with nuke or conventional warhead memory is a bit hazy did they have a land attack capability ? if so how accurate were they in the land attack role? |

AS-6 supposedly had a land-attack mode, no references on accuracy. Probably "minute-of-city", since we're talking a 350kt nuke. Wiki doesn't mention a land-attack mode for the AS-4. |

Fired from the right distance, and vector, and assuming no proximity or demand control detonation capability, ALL will have a land attack capability when their fuel runs out, assuming a contact detonator. "What goes up must come down…..". |

This is off the top of my head, but the seekers wouldn't have homed properly on anything. I suppose they could target a skyscraper or something, actually. Still, lack of a high signal-to-noise reflection from most targets and ground clutter around others (skyscrapers) would make targeting anything specific nearly impossible. While the Egyptians may have used AS-5 Kelts against targets in the Sinai and (possibly) in Israel as far Tel Aviv, the AS-5 had been designed as a dual-purpose anti-ship/anti-surface missile. By contrast, the AS-4 and AS-6 made near-vertical terminal dives on their targets, which is an absolutely terrible approach for an active seeker to find a ground target. As Thresher01 says, if you just want to use them as terror weapons, well, sure, go ahead. |

There was a land attack variant of the AS-6. I don't think the AS-4 was considered in the role |
