"US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress heavy long-range bombers are flying into Europe this week, US Air Forces Europe – Africa announced Thursday, at a time Russia is making threats against the US as a Cold War-era missiles ban collapses. A Bomber Task Force consisting of bombers from the 2nd Bomb Wing out of Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana are deploying to the US European Command area of operations…."

Interesting. That certainly does send a "message". Of course, they're probably more vulnerable when based there than at home, but the rapid response time will be quicker from the UK, if needed. |

B-52s to the UK. Russian bombers to Crimea. B-1s and F-22s to??? B-2s – it doesn't matter, since they can attack anywhere around the globe from home. ;-) |

One of them, according to some news sources, "imitated nuclear attack on S-Petersburg". Personally, I think it is the same bs as western media stories about scary Russian bomber patrols, but with two missile treaties gone, the world is not going to be safer in the nearest future. |
