Have you ever gone on a vacation with the focus of the trip being to play wargames? Perhaps meeting a friend or friends somewhere, or going to a gaming center? Trips to wargame shows or conventions don't count for purposes of this poll. Staying at home doesn't count.

Every time I go to a convention, I treat it as a gaming vacation. I used to do 20 a year, now I am down to 6.

Stuart Barnes Watson of the NWS used to run naval wargaming holidays – tours of a nautically interesting part of the world (Scapa Flow, North Carolina/Virginia, Mississippi-Mobile, Sweden/Norway and a few others I think) which included wargaming along the way. And of course our holiday to Vis in 2016 for the 150th anniversary of the battle of Lissa where we refought that 1866 and 1811 battles

One year I was on a business trip to the UK and took a few days after to go to the War games Holiday Centre in Scarborough. Was fabulous.

Every year some friends and I take a weekend in august for ‘mancation'. Board games, video games, beers, and catching up with guys I've known for 15+ years. Hardest part is finding a house rental that'll hold a dozen people and have room for 2-3 board games going at once
