I was wondering if anyone knew if the Old Glory Ancient German chieftain in their 'Early German Command' CWG-30, from their 'Caesar's Gallic Wars' range is supposed to represent an historical figure? He is unique in that he has a bandage/patch over one eye as well as being the only mounted figure in the set and only one of the figure. |

Civilis had one eye, though he is from around AD 70 rather than JC's time |

Ancient and medieval generals seemed to lose an eye quite regularly. Hannibal, Sertorius, Antigonos, Zizka and apparently Civilis. And ultimately King Harold was one eyed, albeit quite briefly! I guess being in a profession with many pointy things being directed at unprotected parts tends to lend itself to such wounds. |

Amanirenis was also said to have been blind in one eye, but she's unlikely to mistaken for a German guy . . . Cheers, John |
