and business is good
- Megadeth, Killing is My Business
How and how often is attrition of opposing forces the objective of scenarios you play?
100% – Attrition isn't everything, it's the only thing!
Main Driver – It's unlikely you win without winning attrition. If it's close, other objectives can determine the win.
Important – It's hard to win without winning attrition. You would have to nail lots of other objectives.
A Factor – You can win with an attrition win, or by several other means.
Ancillary – Attrition factors in, and could easily be a determinant of victory if other things are roughly equal.
Not a Factor – Attrition is not an objective when determining a win.
I'm a People Person – Attrition negatively affects victory. You have to do it, but you need to strictly limit where, when, and how much.
-----
Most games I play have attrition as A Factor or Ancillary.
I will play games where it is a Main Driver or 100%, but it's not my preference.
I've been experimenting more with I'm a People Person, as it represents the PMESII environment surrounding combat.
