Conquest medieval knights (as opposed to their Normans knights)

Their Norman infantry and archers could probably do a job for the footsloggers to.

and of course some of Fireforges offerings for foot knights and infantry

Foundry's Perry range for the Barons Wars. Or Barony Miniatures if you can find them.

A friend mentioned 1st Corps.
Any one has experience with them?

IIRC Old Glory has some 3rd Crusade knights, which would probably be fine into the beginning of the 13th C. I think the Perry's Baron's War range would be a bit late, into the mid to late 13th C. There are also a few distinctly German figures in the range.

Damon.

First Corp (Curteys) are pretty nice. They have several packs of heads so a huge variety of figures can be made out of them. I really liked the options of helmets for early 13th century for my Bouvines project.

The 1st Corp figures are good. They have improved their horses for their newer lines which includes their Medievals (horses are the weak link in their ancient lines.)

If you are in Rhodesia, as your profile states, I am not sure which would be cheapest to order. Old Glory makes inexpensive figures for this era in metal (oldglory25s is the official site, while oldgloryminiatures is a reseller, but the latter has pictures and while the set numbers are identical, they are organized a bit differently into era (ie former "Middle Ages" then "Crusades" while the latter is "Historical" then "Richard the Lionheart", for instance).

Essex makes some interesting figures, but they seem smaller (they would match Old Glory, which are between 25mm and 28mm, depending upon the set). Black Tree Design makes some very nice 2nd, 3rd and 4th Crusades figures, but they are not fulfilling their orders right now (I have outstanding orders from last year that have not yet been fulfilled …).

Old Glory is very reliable to order from, but I am not sure about postage (the USA does have an International Flat Rate of $25 USD for a medium box and $50 USD for a large box, but there is a 20lb weight limit, I believe, and OG figures use lead still, so while cheaper to buy they are more expensive to ship because of the weight). Old Glory also has an annual membership (Old Glory Army) that gives you 40% off their figure prices.

The Conquest Games set pictured above is their "Medieval Knights" set, NOT the "Norman Knights" set pictured behind the figures!
