The nordallia linkeinston posted is the one I use. Sometimes it's hard to figure out WHICH craft paint it refers to, but it's pretty good and gets you REALLY close to Vallejo's colors. |

There used to be a site silicon-dragons.com that had a program called Color Match 1.0. The program had a number of craft and modeler paint lines on it that you could run comparisons on. I found it extremely helpful and while not always accurate, it gave you a good start. Sadly, it abruptly disappeared a few years ago and I never was able to locate it again. Using the Wayback Machine to find it might be a solution. |

Sounds like a bit of a marketing program to me. If I am not mistaken hobby is pretty much synonymous with craft. Biggest difference as I recall is most "hobby" paints are enamels and craft paints are acrylic. Also, "hobby" paints are usually a helluva lot more expensive! I usually pay $.50 USD for 2.5oz. acrylic craft paint and upwards of $1.50 USD per .50oz "hobby" paint, you do the math. |
