My current 1/72 Marlburian has me bitten by the bug to start building 20mm ACW armies as well. One problem with this scale is often the lack of Commanders. Does anyone know suitable source?

Strelets makes Union and Confederate commanders in 1/72nd scale plastic.

Dayton Painting Consortium (Dpc) has a nice 20mm Acw range. It has Mounted Generals in it. They are priced very reasonably. The company is located near Dayton, Oh and they have a website.

Thanks everyone for your help! That's clinched it for me. Off to spend money on Saturday. :)

You might want to consider 10mmm for ACW.

I recieved 3 samples of the "20mm" acw figures from DPC and found them quite a bit larger than other 20mm figures such as the Thomas K+L figures that I started with. They were even a bit bigger than my 1/72 scale figures. I'm guessing that they are 20mmm from ground to eyes, not the top of the head as the Thomas figures were. Guess it depends on your definition of 20mm.

Hi, I own a lot of 1/72 figs and found DPC are a pretty solid fit. They may be a little larger than Airfix. But owning DPC Acw, Colonial and Naps figs I find they will fit exceptionally well with 1/72 figs.

Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up regarding size.
Hi Grossman. I actually scaling up from 15mm because I think 20mm will work better with Old School style play.
