Randy has indicated that he was swamped with orders and therefore will answer questions in June, last order will be shipped 05-31-2019, any order not shipped by than will be reimbursed.

Bryan will go to Minnesota end of May to pick up the mold and remaining stock, if you look at his website, he has created the stock item numbers for all PFC 1/285 items he will be manufacturing and distributing.

After May, Randy is keeping the ships and all 3 Scifi ranges SEM, Ren Leg and PFC proprietary range and will complete my SEM range (about 15 new SKU tp be released).

This is what I believe the situation to be based on my discussion with Randy and Bryan

Still no answer on what Randy is doing with regard to his debts. He's not talking.

No surprise I'd guess … business debts, etc. are usually a civil legal matter. So he probably couldn't/wouldn't say anyway …

Regardless … I want my SEM !!!!!!

I'm talking about his debts to TMP.

Hopefully all will fine in the end an we can keep building up armies with these great minis.

I'm fond of all of C-in-C's work, and I'm trying to keep track of where it all goes. (And I was this close <pinches fingers> to buying a bunch of sci fi stuff when Randy stopped taking orders. I hope to get a second chance.)

Currently Wargame Emporium in the UK and Master of Military in Germany have distribution agreement, would suggest you email Bryan (the new owner of 1/285 PFC WW2 and Modern but not SciFi) at LegionsIVHire to see what will happen in the future.

Bryan (the owner of LEGIONSIVHIRE) was with Randy (PFC) in Minnesota over the week-end to pick up the molds and remaining stock for the modern and WWII 1/285 C-in-C.

I am hoping that Randy will start releasing the remaining SEM skus in my range☺

Sorry to see them go even though I stepped away from 1/2400 and 1/285 years ago. I met them at Origins 1978 and 79 and they were great folks. When I started in micro armor in the late 70's they did the early Sherman, Hellcat and M-10 years ahead of GHQ.They also did beautiful French armor years ahead of the GHQ.

I will miss their planes. That 1/285 P-40….ooo la la….

The website has not changed since December 2019, no new newsletter. Is PFC C-in-C still in business? Has anyone ordered from them recently?

PFC C-in-C sold off a lot of their molds to Legions IV Hire a while back.

I have heard nothing … but I am interested in their SEM line …

I've ordered from C-in-C twice since the move, after the web site announced that orders were being accepted again. Both times the order took a looooooong time to arrive (months!), but did eventually arrive.

FYI – I just went to the PFC/CinC site and all the SEM is still the older stuff. He still has not posted pics about 1/3 of the existing SEM Line either … 😣😕

All of the SEM and other sci-fi stuff from the old inventory list that I was aware of is on the site. I haven't gone exhaustively through all of it to be sure it can all be ordered, but I have ordered some SEM items, some FASA items, and some of the generic 6mm "science fiction" items, and I got them all. I'm not aware of any listed items being discontinued or out of production.

Both orders I received had a hand written note apologizing for the delay (and complaining about how screwed up the move was, heh). I don't think he's having the best experience settling back into production, but he does seem to be trying.

Yes I see that, thanks ! On the Legions IV Hire FB page it looks like he is starting to get some of the original SEM line. Hopefully either or both will start to carry the new SEM I've seen in Greens, etc. 🙏 I ain't get'n any younger !

Their web page doesn't appear to allow you to browse or purchase their excellent Modern range.

Legions also seems to be among those companies whose stock availability remains does not get updated. I've been waiting for months for their Pz.IVGs to become available once again.

See also my previous gripes against FAA. Now there's a company which doesn't seem that interested in supplying its market. I do hope this isn't now true of L4H.

I'm not unaware that many companies are struggling with the extra constraints of the pandemic, so I hope I'm not being unfair. But late-war Pz.IVs are a pretty central item, and I have difficulty understanding why something so obvious has not yet been restocked.

I ordered a couple of 1/4800 ships sets two weeks ago (and payed for them).
I have got no feedback from PFC-Cinc save an (seemingly) automated response acknowledging the order. No answers to my emails either.
Should I panic, or do you think there is a chance I will receive my tiny ships?

Tell me Bill how the new owner of the C-in-C molds is responsible for debt incurred by the former owner? These are two different companies are they not? Just curious.

C-in-C is still owned by the same person. He just semi-retired the company by selling off most of the miniatures lines to Legions IV Hire. All that's left on the C-in-C web site is sci-fi and model railroading stuff.

I just placed another order for some SEM items, and am slowly refining another order for some more. (I keep thinking my Ogre/GEV project is "finished", then thinking of just a few more things needed to round it out…) It took weeks last time, so I'll be happily surprised if anything arrives before December.

These are no longer listed on the C-in-C web site. How did you order them?

Edit: It looks like a Google search for 1/4800 naval miniatures turns up the old links to the C-in-C web site, and clicking through, they still work. I was able to place a 1/4800 item in my cart. I would recommend against doing this; if you can't get it through the "front door" of the web site (from the items listed in the catalog), and the owner didn't respond and say he'd do a custom order for you, you probably can't get it. The C-in-C web site was never the sleekest web shopping experience, and I never had the feeling the owner was fully on top of it. He probably doesn't know that it's still possible to order lines he retired because a search engine is getting people into his web cart through a back door.

Yeah, I did exactly that. The items I ordered were labeled "in stock", and all the process went smooth and fine. In fact I didn't realize that was kind of a "back door", since I got there that way in the first place and not trough the main page.
Paypal payment was processed faultlessly as well.

It is not a huge order, and I am more worried about not getting the ships than loosing some bucks, but hey, I dont like the idea of a working web shop without someone at the helm!
