Checked your blog – I wish I could make accidental painting like that! :P

(your painted Soviets here make these plastic figs look like they're 54s)

Great figures my friend. The variation in head gear makes them look super. TIG

very nicely done. The set is not perfect but it is one of my favorite.

Lovely!

Really nice work, I love the colours you've chosen. You've painted the jackets really nicely too, it gives them a lot of energy.

The Warlord Winter Russians are one of my favourite Warlord sets. I just wish they had more greatcoat figures as the Telogreika poses are repeats from the Siberian set. On the plus side they go together nicely and you can get a nice mix of good looking poses from the box. They paint up well too.

Great work. Fab paintjob!

Any one made and painted the Warlord plastic commandos, how do the Soviets compare with the Commandos?

Thanks guys, sorry it's taken a while to reply but I could of sworn I had already replied!

FlyXwire, thank you it took me a long time to get round to doing a blog! I'm still not all that good with technology at times. I blame my age! Wrong side of fifty and all that. It's a true compliment saying my figures look good enough to be 54mm. I'm pretty humbled by it 😊

Thanks TIG, I do like painting these guys. The Soviet horde is slowly growing. Hope all is well with you.

DOUGKL thank you also, I keep trying to swap over to another period but WW2 keeps dragging me back in.

Repaint, the set does have its limitations but they do look good painted up and based.

uglyfatbloke thank you it's very much appreciated.

Thanks Rob, I'm planning on adding a little bit of support for these guys, time permitting.

Fred I agree the sets do sit together nicely, i think they could of done a full set of figures in greatcoats similar to the winter German set. The Siberian veterans was the first set i picked up for the Soviets. Some metal parts where a pain to get to fit but all the same they do look good once painted.

Thanks Sebastian it's much appreciated and your feedback is warmly received.

lesbt65, I've built the commando set. The only part I dont like are the berets but other than that they look good.

So thanks for looking guys and thanks for commenting, it's very much appreciated

Thanks again cheers for now Russ
