Anyone have names of manufacturers, or experiences with any, that produce cavemen/cavewomen/cavekids??…in 28mm? I want to play a game with my kids and I have dinosaurs but don't know who makes early human types. thanks! |

Copplestone makes some. Two of the four females are topless, so you may want to pass on that pack. They are nice figures, though. I've seen a new line--perhaps Fire and Ice. These are very nice. Grelber |

Steve Barber has a range: link The Lucid Eye and the Copplestone lines are very nice too. Here is a link to the Copplestone line available through NorthStar: link |

We carry the full range of Lucid Eye, Neanderthals and Cro mags being the most suitable. We also carry the DeeZee range of Ice Age animals. We send post free to most worldwide locations. Here's the link to Lucid Eye: link Here's the link to Deezee: link

I've got a small lot of Cro-Mags and Neanderthals from Lucid Eye and some Reaper Neanderthals that I'd happily let go. Too long unloved in my project box! cmpregan@roadrunner dot com |

A Google search of "25mm Cavemen" and "28mm Cavemen" under both "All" and "Images" should give you pretty much chapter and verse on the subject, including a link to a fairly comprehensive PDF. What may not pop up clearly is that the Steve Barber line is essentially an incomplete 2.0 line. SB had once had a very extensive "Prehistoric Settlement" line with basic RTS rules, figs, animals and structures. It was pretty "true" 25mm and SB decided to overhaul the line to 28mm, but the rules and the buildings never reemerged. I have a good bit of the old stuff, but not the materials needed for the full 6.5 player game I was aiming for. I still have an ebay autosearch running. I lucked into a full 2 player starter set last year. When the overhaul began around 2013 there was some buzz about the old stuff being available on special order. I'm not sure if it was true then, but if it was, it might still be true. You could write and ask. The worst he can do is say "sorry, not any longer." The old set was a bit "cartoon-y" but in my book that's a lot of its' charm. FWIW. |
