"Before the description of the battle itself a few clarifying points. Detachments of Dominion Arulco (British colony) and the Coast of Freedom (similar to an African Liberian from the end of the 19th century) are fighting. The scene, as usual, Paradiso – archipelago in the Caribbean, a group of friends. Anxious day of July 14, 1880, during a siesta, when the heat pushes the person as much as possible, making him limp, forcing him to apply to a flask of water or sitting on the veranda, under a mosquito canopy, to a bottle of cool wine, smoking a cigar or a pipe with a good Tobacco, our squad, having marched all morning along the only dirt that was squeezing under our boots, went to the farms occupied by black rebels from the Coast of Freedom in December…."

Wonderful jungle terrain and great report. Especially like those unusual removable jungle canopy tops. |

DG, I think those are neat too! I wonder if they're also something of a fashion statement? |

I think we need a tutorial on how to make the 'removable canopy' jungles. |

VERY nice terrain! The removable tree canopy is an old model railroad trick.
It uses metal mesh as the base, the you basically cover it in piles of ground foam soaked in PVA glue. Usually looks best when you put some bumps into the metal mesh first, and kinda curl the edges down to hide the mesh. The tree trunks around the perimeter are usually just plain dowels, and the canopy just rests on top of them. |
