OK, my Google-fu has failed me. Does anyone make a Duplex Drive Sherman in 20mm/1:72/1:76? I've found some with the deep wading stacks, but have yet to find a DD. Anyone?

Britannia Miniatures, Milicast.

Think these are the Britannia ones:

Thanks all!

That's what the author at that blog says, but they don't look anything like the photo on the Brittania site, and his scratch-builds look much better!

The model in the photo on the Brittania site looks pretty dire. Although it's cheap, I've heard some poor reviews of their resin casts.

The Milicast one is beautiful, but is also priced accordingly. If I can't find something in between these two both in quality and price, I'll probably bite the bullet and go with Milicast.

Thanks again!

Shaun at S&S:

Any news on that PSC conversion of yours …?

Or can anyone tell me if the Britannia Sherman has separate skirts which might be fitted around another manufacturer's hull?

I think Wee/Friendship do decent Sherman V DD, but I already have scads of hulls and turret I'd like to use up.

On the D-Day cover above the author states the Sherman DD and the LCA are both Britannia.

Yes Marc,

but I'm looking to produce some DDs using the plentiful resources I already hold. I'm an indifferent modeller and an idle **** and I hope to avoid making up half a dozen sets of skirts if I can source some already made by more skillful hands.

Sorry for not making it clear laretenue. My response was for the identification of the manufacturer of the DD on the cover of the book above since there seemed to be some question. 20mm is not my area so unfortunately can not tell you if the skirts are separate or for that matter anyone who makes them for existing models.
