Great list!

Where is Pork Chop Hill?

"The Steel Helmet"? or "The Bridges at Toko Ri"? Obviously not produced in Korea (S. or N.) but fine movies nevertheless.

I watched 'The Front Line' – good movie.

As to the No Gun Ri Massacre, there is quite a bit of evidence countering that account.

Pork Chop was not a Korean movie.

Bridges at Toko-ri was not a Korean movie.

Read the article, you will benefit from it.

So war movies made in Korea, not "Korean War Movies" as several of those are either contemporary or about Vietnam.

They look interesting.

And yes, No Gun Ri has been pretty much debunked as it was originally reported. The key US witness wasn't even there.

Taegukgi was pretty good, if a bit overwrought. Same with My Way. Pretty epic story.

Glad you like them my friend.

I was baffled by this list until I realised this should have been entitled "The Best Korean Made Korean War Movies". But then extended to SE Asia post WWII anyway………and not all even made in Korea.

Increasingly daft.

As per the title…not the link though. You cannot beat those Bridges at Toko-Ri. I was wondering how Robert Holden would get out of that ditch first time I saw it in my teens. Oh…..I was not expecting that.

What would we do without Tango? Fanks me old mate, blinding son (trust me, does not translate even in Northern England).

Better title would be "Best War Movies Made in Korea".

No kidding! I think I was speechless, staring at the screen.

No kidding. I was like. Hey, wait--they shot him! Rather shocked/surprised when it happened at age 10 or thereabouts.

Yes, much of evidence says most of what was stated, etc. was false. And frankly after reading about it and seeing it in the media, etc. A lot of it did not seem to add up/make sense, etc.,. But I was not there … so …

I thought it was just me. Mickey Rooney in the helicopter shocked me enough. I thought if he's written out of it, how will William Holden get out of that ditch and back to his girl?

This next bit should be good. Wait for it……

Oh

Almost like Frank Sinatra trying to catch that train. No one expects John Wayne to walk out of the Alamo but, the hero to be killed at the end……..?

WHAT? I have never forgotten the first time I saw it.

This was too realistic, especially for when it was made. A grossly underrated film. The bombing sequences were superb, (if you ignored the strange smoke trails created by the Triple A)

Virginia Tory26 Feb 2019 7:32 p.m. PST

Some of the best flying sequences. Some stuff with models, but no CGI back then.

This all sent me back to Wiki thing to read more about the fillum (this is an Irish thing).

I thought they were Phantom I US Naval aircraft, not Panthers or Banshees. I never knew the cute girl was Grace Kelly…and she was cute too.

I must find this on HD or Blu-Ray
