Sounds and looks like fun.

Is that the rules set with the weird plastic binder clip, and a blue cover with 2 or 3 characters on the front?

The title sounds familiar. Think I might have bought it decades ago.

Looks like a good setting for a lot of action.

There was an earlier game called galactic heroes. These are from Wiley Games, who wrote the western rules Fistful of Lead, and were released in November of last year.
