Neither Tyne & Wear, nor Cleveland existed as counties in 1643; and Cumbria was then the separate counties of Cumberland and Westmorland. There were three Ridings in Yorkshire then, … and so on down the map. Your snazzy map is anachronistic. |

I found it difficult to find a suitable map to use without much of a hassle, so I ended up with this one. Not being from the UK probably helped not noticing that the map is more modern :) Well, I'll stick with it for now but thank you for the links. |

Shugyosha, It's hard enough when one does come from the UK. Good on you for giving it a go. You've also reminded me that I have a copy of Unhappy King Charles! somewhere. I wonder if it can be played solo. Jon |
