Are Perry Koreans usable for earlier periods or as Chinese? |
GurKhan | 04 Feb 2019 2:05 a.m. PST |
No. Late Korean clothing and armour is quite distinctive. |

I'm painting some of the Perry Koreans and GurKhan is correct. He also used the perfect word there to describe them… |

Too bad. I like them and the war sounds interesting, but without the Ming maybe too one sided. Maybe I could just paint a small collection to field some sieges and get double use of the samurai. |

There used to be a line produced by Cavalcade games of 28mm ming chinese. But I cannot find a listing anymore. |

Would the bulk of the troops have been garrison archers and melee foot? |
skipper John | 05 Feb 2019 6:28 p.m. PST |
Early on there was a big bunch of mounted troops. Then mostly foot til the Chinese arrived. |

Leadjunky, If you are on Facebook, have a look at "Ming Chinese Wargaming and Military History". Some of us are organizing a small commission for possible Ming warriors. In 28mm. |

I emailed Perry several months ago about producing a range of Late Ming figures to complete their Chosen War line. Got a not committal answer back. I do find it strange that Perry produces two wonderful Chosen ranges but won't finish it to include the other important combatant. Without the Ming the other two ranges don't really make full sense. The Cavalcade figures are nice but totally insufficient to make up a Late Ming force. |

I don't believe the Cavalcade Ming are available anymore. |
