I spent some time in November last year checking out some of the history of Taunton and wider Somerset in the town itself and at the Museum of Somerset.
The town played its role in great moments of British history from the Wars of the Roses, English Civil War and the Monmouth Rebellion.
A lot of that history is also captured in the collection held in the Museum of Somerset held in the historic castle in the town centre. If you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's link Jonathan (JJ) |
