I was asked to make these for a customer in the US for his 28mm Gettysburg project. Sheads house is a bit of an odd shape so presented some problems. It's turned out ok, at least the customer thinks so anyway!
Sheads house. This was used as a hospital during the battle.
The Thompson house is the middle front row model. The customer also wanted a brick and clapboard version and these can also be seen in this picture. This house was located on Seminary ridge and acted as Lee's HQ. More pictures can be found on the Blog The Sheads house model needs some tinkering to make suitable for kits but i hope to have these ready by next week. I'll be posting a new item when they are ready for release. 28mm ACW/Old West Cheers Mick |

I recently found a picture of the Carrie Shead house at the time of the battle. This clearly shows the house was not painted white at the time, it was a plain brick colour. The elaborate wood detail on the front porch was also there at the time of the battle and not a later improvement. With that in mind i have updated the model and it looks a lot better than the white one.
I have also amended the kit to make it suitable for sale as a kit and it's now available in our -28mm ACW/Old West range |
