I've got an order of the Timecast flexible Latex fields and I was thinking about painting up in the near future. I was planning on spray painting them black with primer and painting as usual, but then it occurred to me that I've never painted such a thing before. you think there any tricks or special concerns I should be aware of before I start? (or am I over thinking it? I suspect I am over thinking it) |

I am using flat latex and craft acrylics to enhance mine. Both are flexible and compatible with the material. Using Mod Podge Matt (also flexible) to attach flocking as well. Did not use a primer either. |

my 2c would be to paint latex with latex(acrylic) paint and not to spray paint. |

They spraypaint just fine. Wash them first in hot soapy water, rinse and dry well. I used Humbrol acrylic dark earth, then put a brown ink wash on them. Painted and flocked the edges, then Army Painter Matt varnish spray. See mine here: link |

Thanks KYPD38, those are the same fields that I have. yours came out looking great. I'll try to emulate your results. : ) |

Thanks Stew art. They are nice fields. The couple of coats of spray varnish have pretty much locked the flock in place. Top tip – store them upside down, so the corners don't start to curl. |
