I am assuming that the tunics are Dennison jackets, but why SMLE rifles rather than the No. 4 rifle?

… why SMLE rifles rather than the No. 4 rifle?

They lost a bar bet?

Hm. Reasonable sculpts but there are a few issues. As already mentioned they should have No 4 rifles not SMLEs. The smocks are also too short and appear to have buttons all the way down the front, whereas the Dennison had a half zip. This needs a reshow I'm afraid.

I think Tango's latest illustrations are from a totally different maker.

His do look like WWII Paras (and are brilliant BTW). The top figures need SLRs and belong in the Falklands or Northern Ireland decades later

I know which ones I would rather own!

The second set of pictures are from the new Offensive Miniatures range – which are very nice.

While I *love* Rubicon's tanks I'm afraid their infantry leaves me cold. Wooden looking poses, the product of computer aided design I presume.

I don't think it has anything to do the the computer, many use computers to model miniatures, Victrix being one of the big ones. And their miniatures are anything but stiff. I assume Rubicon's are like that because they are made for dioramas not gaming.
I really love the realistic poses and style of the figures and the fact they are actually 1:56 scale. But the stiff poses are annoying and the limited selection.
