Hmmmmm, I'm not sure? I don't know if it's because my expectations were so high for this classic character, or that it was released with little fanfare, but I'm very underwhelmed by this. It's beautifully sculpted, and very dynamically posed, so why am l just so ‘meh' about this? Why do I still prefer Kabuki's ‘Sanguinuis? Naw mate, this isn't he, don't know what you mean, no ip infringement here, move along son' link Help me out people, why does this leave me cold? Cheers, John |

This sculpt has been surprisingly polarizing in the Heresy community. A lot of people would prefer an upright Sanguinius with weapons raised. I personally find that sort of pose to be boring – yet another "look at me I have a sword!" style pose. Yesterday they showed off an unpainted Sanguinius model on a revolving table, and that seemed to sway some people who criticized it for being too "flat" looking in the painted photo. |

Combine kabuki body with gw face and wings for best results |

I'm sorry but I think the Kabuki angel miniature looks like it's literally performing a Kabuki dance. |

Help me out people, why does this leave me cold? Because YMMV? Personally I like this way more than Kabuki's version. This pose is very dramatic, as if Sanguinius is swooping down on Horus on behalf of the Emperor on Horus' battle barge. It looks like a Michaelangelo painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in fact. |

If you look at it with the scenic base it looks a lot better still. link |
