Hello and well met.

Are there any appropriate (and appropriately scaled) bits out there for converting historical plastic kits (such as perry, victrix etc) to fantasy hobgoblin warriors?

As far as I am concerned some heads would be enough.

On that matter, any scale comparison between the aforementioned historical plastic kits and the oathmark goblins would be more than welcome, just to have an idea of scale.

The inspirational/aesthetic standard is the Hackmaster 5e hobgoblin.

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: I could even go for slightly larger bodies, since I think that the human scale is the aforementioned historicals.

Oathmark goblins and cultist boxes have spare heads. I made Viking Draugr with my oarhmark heads from the pack with someone else's Vikings.

Oathmark goblins come with 11 heads and five bodies per sprue.
Wargame Factory orcs have six heads and three bodies per sprue

I used some plastic Human figures, from the Lionheart board game, molded in bronze-colored plastic. After painting their flesh orange, I just put a blue bit of paint on their faces, to mark them as Hobgoblins' blue noses. The bronze-colored plastic made a great looking Bronze Platemail armor for the figures. It made sense, to me, that Hobgoblins would wear Bronze Platemail to save money: one pip worse AC, than steel, but much less cost.

Here is a link to a photo of the spearmen. Imagine them with orange skin, and a blue nose…

At arm's length, they work great. If you take this approach, you can use whichever historical figures you choose. Of course, if the Hobgoblins are wearing helmets which mask their faces, there would be virtually no means of ID'ing them as Human, or otherwise -- except for their banners. Cheers!
