These are the trees that I was referring to, when I asked the question "How tall should model trees be?"

I think that between 6 and 9 inches is probably what I'll go with.
I'll mix the heights up for variety.
These were fun and very simple to make. There is a tutorial on this forum that explains how to make these. Search my name.

It's very easy to saw off some length from the bottom, so I can make these any size. I'm debating putting 5 or 6 on a base, to represent a forest. I'll mix these with some other trees that I have made, again for variety.

Only a few hundred more and you'll be ready to game Braddock's defeat. :-)

Those look great. Maybe I will try taller trees someday.

(Dark?) Green felt/flannel is less than 1/8" tall. That is what designates the forest. The trees just get in the way.

Those look really great!

Why, it depends on the scale

Also, please note that almost always the miniature scale and terrain scale are completely different matters.

I often tend to use one scale smaller terrain (buildings/woods and such) to create more convincing battlefield. When you start measuring the firing distances and wonder if the volley will reach the other end of that hut you probably should be using a smaller scale for the terrain… :D

Oh, I have enough to do Braddock's Defeat.
In both painted figures and trees.

I admit to being a tree making machine..
