Received this odd email today… Hi,As an employee within Kaiserrushforth Limited, I wanted to make you aware of the rates on new vehicles which are available to you from Selectalease. At Selectalease we specialise in ‘Company Employee Vehicles' for personal or business use and are able to offer you the very best rates as a result. I have listed some example offers below but be aware we can source every make and model… Did Kaiser Rushforth have a security breach? |

If they did, I suspect Kaiser Soze was behind it. |

It is probably a spam message. It seems to represent a legit business, but how did they get my email, and how did they associate me with KaiserRushforth? |

Email is easier to spoof than Caller ID. You don't need to crack into anything. You can send an email from anywhere and that email can claim to be whatever you want and it will look pretty good unless you dig into the headers. The "From:" field is entirely unreliable. |

Here's a neat page that gives you several ways to spoof an email. Now you, too, can send an email on Whitehouse stationary! link There's no reason only the bad guys should have this info. Never trust the "From:" field! |
