Hi all, I'm looking at building some terrain for the '73 October War. I've tried to locate any images of the famous 'Chinese Farm' agricultural research complex, and haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction.

Agreed, the video is excellent. Does anyone know what the Israeli artillery pieces are at 23:20 and more at 23:37?

The AWI are notorious for their lack of photos, and indeed, detailed information of any kind. It appears that all the parties involved are still keeping much of the information classified.

I believe those are Jordanian US supplied M-52 105mm self propelled guns. Link: link

Thanks all, some really helpful info – that documentary is very good, isn't it.

I have only one picture in one of my books on the 73 war. Basically its a couple of storage tanks similar to the oil type but smaller with various pipes .The surrounding ground should also have irrigation ditches surrounding "fields" .
I don't think it was successful in its purpose so the foliage would be of the wild type rather than cultivated food producing types.

Pictures in the documentary are useful. The content is not.

Navy-
Why? It seems to comport with what I've read. The author, Rabinovich, who wrote what I believe is the best YKW history to date, is one of the talking heads. I was surprised by the spread of people they got to talk on record.
