30 km north of Gyros Teller is the town of Mitte Pommers. Since the Cuban Missile Crisis relationships between the West and the East have become a disaster and after a badly worded letter to the UN, Warsaw Pact troops crossed the IGB. Fighting has been intense and elements of 7 Guards Tank Division are pushing to the area of Mitte Pommers, a major canal crossing point. A screening force of QDG are covering the advance to give a 20 Armd Bde Group of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers and 3rd Carabiniers time to prepare a counter attack, all at PAW 2/3 Feb 2019.
