I tried some figures from a new manufacturer Replica Metal Soldiers over Christmas and very nice they are too. I was picking up a Christmas scene for my wife and added a few extra castings while I was at it.

They are late 19th century Prussian infantry suitable for the Franco Prussian war or later and I think they paint up really well. You can see some pics here.
