Hello guys, what is the ideal size for a home made rectangular base for the German PAK 40 crew? How about distribution of figures to avoid major indirect fire targets under the 1 inch template?

Thanks

I base the crew separately on round 25mm bases. The gun itself doesn't need a base.

I see, that is a good idea, the gun will also look good being towed by itself.

I was thinking of basing mine, but now am unsure.

Unbased might be better, as long as people use care with them, since that eliminates the issue of matching terrain for various games.

Mine are metal, so perhaps more durable than some of the very expensive, resin ones I've seen.

I use prolonged round bases – cutting a round base in two and gluing a fitting rectangular base in between. At least that worked well for the Russian artillery and at.
