Yes, did a Texas war for independence week. In addition saw Goliad and San Jacinto. Was at Washington on the Brazos on March 2. Great!

Enjoyed the gigantic diagrams in the History Store across the street from the Alamo. Breathtakingly beautiful.

Also, nobody wanted to show me the basement of the Alamo :(

Yes, several times. I hope some day to do a tour of all Texas battlefields, most that people have never heard of. I'll start with Fort Parker that's about three miles from my house!

My office is about three blocks away from it.

Yes, when my eldest son graduated from US Air Force Basic Training, in San Antonio TX. It was interesting, but I'm not a period historian, so much of its history was lost on me.

What I did take interest in, was the scale model, complete with miniatures, which was on display. The phrase, "museum quality", for referring to how well painted miniatures are, was clearly proven inaccurate! The miniatures on display were GEtGW (Good Enough to Game With) quality, only. They looked poorer, to be honest, than GEtGW, which is the standard I paint to.

When I see someone refer to miniatures painted to the "museum quality" level, I know what they mean, but the phrase is grossly inaccurate -- miniatures in most museums are GEtGW, or below. Many gamers paint to a quality level far beyond what you will ever see in a museum… Cheers!

I think we need more than just yes and no,

how about for the well travelled respondent who has been to a heck of a lot of places ?

They might say:

Not sure, I might have done but to be honest I Don't Remember The Alamo.
