With 2019 not upon us I decided that it's finally time to take the plunge and actually PLAY some games with real life people, imagine that! The question is: I'm in Madison, Wisconsin and am wondering who in the area is playing what: After all, there's no point in putting together say, a Three Kingdoms-era chinese army if no one's playing that period (even though they should!) I'm not afraid of learning new rules or 'building to suit' as it were, so options are open! |

Check out Noble Knight's new schedules, if you haven't already. They built a beautiful new store in Fitchburg and it's a worthy successor to The Last Square. I'm about 4 hours north, and there isn't much going on up here, but I might swing down there for a weekend later this year. |

Oh, and Last Square is still around (to my knowledge)- just west of town. |

It's about halfway between Mt Horeb and Black Earth, and based out of their home, unless they opened a new store. Not the same as when they had the big shop on Odana. |

Yes, I've been out there. Not the same as the good old days. :( But they still keep up a very good stock. I just haven't been there for a few months and I wasn't sure if they were still there (looks like they are). |

So in the northern Milwaukee and Ozaukee county area I've found an active and friendly group of gamers. Bill, Chuck, John, Dave, et al… who play a wide variety of historical, sci-fi, and fantasmic stuff. As a historicals guy its great to have landed in a new group with some similar and some different interests. Over the past year there has been 15-20-28mm WWII Europe and Pacific, 1/2400 WWII naval, 1/300 WWII air combat, various 28mm TSATF Colonials, 28mm Ancients, SYW, 28mm Ultramodern, aliens and monsters, 28mm ancient Egyptian pulp, and some board games. |

To TheWhiteDog: We have a very active group in the Fox Valley area, Green Bay-Appleton-Oshkosh. Probably still a couple of hours away but we do a lot of miniature gaming. |

IronMike, I'm retired, living on the North side. Interests had been mostly FIW and British Colonials for decades, until the last 5 years when my interests shifted to Moderns (land and air), and WWII naval. Haven't played hardly anything for a long, long time, and then just solo. But when I get past my recurring painting blocks, those are the things I paint. Also wouldn't mind navigating through an occasional Zombie outbreak. TGerritsen…game designer/maker? My wife stables her horse near Bristol, lol, so we're practically neighbors! I'm up for coffee and/or stronger beverages almost any day, especially during the winter. |

Mjkerner- my wife has a horse she stables near where we live, so I wonder if it's the same place (there are a lot of stables around there, though). I'll reup my account so I can PM you. |
