Who makes and where can I buy 1/100 ww2 aircraft?

olicana14 Jan 2019 8:18 a.m. PST

Ebay, type in die cast 1:100 WW2, or aircraft name. It's limited to the main types and most seem to be made by GE Fabbri. Price range is £5.00 GBP£20.00 GBP each.

I used them with some success – here Stukas dive on the British lines

I drill a hole in the fuselage and glue a wooden bead to it, them I can position the aircraft on simple flight stands with a crocodile clip.

Armaments in miniature do a good range in the US. Although they can't spell "Great Britain" their models are pretty good and reasonably priced at about $12 USD for a fighter and going up from there. (You have to provide your own decals – they stock I-94 and Goblin Factory.)

Try eBay for Flames of War V3 planes.

Just seen some by Victrix – they do a Typhoon and a Stuka (three per box) for around £25.00 GBP a pop

I thought the Flames of War planes were 1:144, so out of scale, but I might be wrong.

A while ago there was a guy with a web site devoted to 1/100 scale WWII planes and where to get them, though I cant find the link now.

Revel has a few in their snap together easy kits.

Airfix had some. They were repacked Doyusha. Hard to find now.

Doyusha has a series of 1/100 planes, prepainted. When you open the box you dont know which variant you will get, and some variants are rare. They release a series infrequently. Some years ago they had a series that had a spitfire, ME 109, FW, P 51, Thunderbolt, and zero. I bought a bunch. The current series is various paints of a japanese plane.

But the real answer now, if you want 1/100 planes, is a 3d printer – if you can find models you likes.

Didn't even think of 3D printed planes.

I'm liking Armaments in Minatures 100mm range too.

Most FOW aircraft seem to be 1/144 scale, apart from certain of the assault gliders.
