"28mm Fantasy: Do You Have Enough?" Topic

Are you still adding armies to your 28mm fantasy collection, or do you have enough already?

No, it's hard to keep up with new RPG opponents without staleness setting in.

I have none and that is enough.

Reaper Bones KSs. Just saying.

I have more than enough. And once the unpainted stuff gets painted, more than enough…
But I really want to finish a Grenadier high elf army, and the new stuff from Oathmark looks amazing, so apparently I need another couple of fantasy armies!

I only have LOTR models. I have more than I'll ever use. This is just some of my Elven Army

I have a few 50 figure wolf rider units, fantasy to be is about massive hordes of Goblins endless mobs of Orcs!!

I have so much I don't need any more.
Still, there are the occasional figures that pop up that interest me.

I pick up the odd monster here and there, but I have enough for my needs.

Yup I have enough.

Don't understand the concept of enough figures in any genre.

Technically I might have enough, especially if I get my unfinished armies painted. Really though I'm still buying regularly. I don't have plans of buying huge amounts more (except when Bones KS come along) but there is a steady trickle if something I really like, like the Oathmark and Frostgrave minis, come along.

I have more than a rational person would need.

I am still acquiring more.

Mostly through conversion.

I usually only count the painted figs, and my orcs and shaven armies are in the 600+ range.

Although I do buy extras every once and awhile.

I thought I finished a couple of armies… Then someone came out with new figures, perhaps some specialty types, which would augment that particular army in exciting ways! Then I need to add to that particular army -- and it grows even larger…

I have around 180 figures in my Goblin army, but I decided they needed Giant Bat aerial cavalry, so I cut off some infantry figures from their bases, and mounted them on Schleich Fruit Bats, mounted on pins, mounted on bases, which allow the Goblin Bat Cavalry to bank as they fly! Wonderful addition to the army, and the games which they fly in.

Ran into similar with my Lizardmen Army: found some Schleich lizards which make fantastic Giant Lizard mounts, for Lizardmen Cavalry! Lizardmen armies without cavalry would be at a serious disadvantage against other armies with cavalry, so…

And the beat goes on, with the other armies, as well. I think it will end when I die. LOL! Cheers!

It's impossible to ever have enough.

Been collecting fantasy minis for 20 years. I have never heard of this "enough" before. Im not sure there have ever been a documented case of "enough minis" in a private collection.

Girlfriend says I have enough minis.
Minis says I have enough girlfriend.

I have about 6,000 Warhamner miniatures painted & 4,000 not painted. I've resigned myself to the fact that I will never get them all painted in my lifetime. So, I'd say I have enough…

However, I'm still picking up the odd character or regiment here & there with the need to round out an army, or to add a unique character model for a campaign. I've been told I am in denial, but I HAVE cut back substantially.
