link The National Civil War Centre in Newark have created a siege database. Only had a cursory look, but appears to be pretty good. |

After a quick look I'm amazed on how many small seiges there were. A great source for scenarios! |

I would question its accuracy. For example, the siege of Morpeth took place in May 1644, not March, as the database states. And there were a couple of costly assaults by Montrose's forces, not just a desultory bombardment of the castle.. I don't know if inaccuracies are repeated throughout the database. |

The entry for the 'siege ' of Lindisfarne Castle is also inaccurate. The castle fell into Parliamentarians hands in the summer of 1643 (not 1645) when taken over by the crew of the ship 'Antelope'. |

Dover too, mixed up between first and second ecw. Oh well, has anyone found how to contact them to suggest changes? |
