The National Civil War Centre in Newark have created a siege database.

Only had a cursory look, but appears to be pretty good.

After a quick look I'm amazed on how many small seiges there were. A great source for scenarios!

I would question its accuracy. For example, the siege of Morpeth took place in May 1644, not March, as the database states. And there were a couple of costly assaults by Montrose's forces, not just a desultory bombardment of the castle..

I don't know if inaccuracies are repeated throughout the database.

The entry for the 'siege ' of Lindisfarne Castle is also inaccurate. The castle fell into Parliamentarians hands in the summer of 1643 (not 1645) when taken over by the crew of the ship 'Antelope'.

Dover too, mixed up between first and second ecw. Oh well, has anyone found how to contact them to suggest changes?
