So, I've got an interesting problem. I ordered some Battle Valor Games Orcians, and they are truly excellent orcs. Problem is, they're HUGE. I was planning on using them as opposition to Blue Moon's excellent 18mm Italian Wars range (representing a fantasy human faction). However, BVG's orcs are mostly a full half head taller than my Blue Moon guys, and often substantially broader. Not trying to knock BVG at all (their orcians are objectively excellent sculpts), but I was just expecting something a little more human-sized. That's where Khurasan comes in. I was looking at them a while back, but I thought they seemed kinda puny (though they're the best looking orcs IMHO). I wanted human sized orcs, as opposed to strictly Tolkien- accurate orcs, who are described as being kinda shrimpy. But, now that I've gotten BVG's stuff, I'm starting to wonder if Khurasan's might actually be closer in size to Blue Moon's figures. Can any of you weigh in on this? |

TMP link The Battle Valor goblins would make excellent orc. You can see both Khurasan and Splintered Light orcs in the link above. Thanks |

Do you think Khurasan would match up with a regular human in 18mm? |

I love the Battle Valor as well, but find the Orcians to be too big. If you want some Peter Jackson/Saruman style orcs I'd take a look at Eureka. They are 18mm, but are smaller than humans so fit in very well with all my other 15mm orcs. And the warg riders are excellent. |

Mirliton (ex Grenadier)?
Mirliton on the right with Copplestone, both are very nice. |

GARS, I have BV Orcs and love them, in fact I have Orcs, Goblins, Beastmen, Humans and others from a variety of manufacturers and the difference in size and stature is one of the appealing things. It's fantasy and the standard size does not really fit, in my mind, I love the diverseness of the ranges. In fact my latest figures, on the painting table, for 15mm fantasy are actually 10mm Ogres by Black Gate Miniatures. They will fit in just fine with my varied collection. But just my opinion.. |

I own a ton of khurasan sci-fi. I'm gonna guess they will be short. |

Also check out Eureka's 18mm range. They work great for Tolkein and are not too big, working well with 15mm and 18mm ranges. |
