Yes, great find. I've seen shorts of this, and stills as well. |

I liked the "Wot? No engines" graffiti. By the way. What did glider pilots do after landing? |

Gilder pilots became infantry after landing. There was a Gilder Pilot Regiment. At around about 8.20+ in the footage, I thought I saw someone falling through sky with an unopened 'chute. Would anyone with better eyes like to confirm? |

Gilder pilots became infantry after landing. There was a Gilder Pilot Regiment. For the Commonwealth yes. For the US there were really no set combat plans with glider pilots usually joining up with the troops if for nothing else survival. |

[At around about 8.20+ in the footage, I thought I saw someone falling through sky with an unopened 'chute. Would anyone with better eyes like to confirm?] There was definitely something plummeting, I think (or rather hope) that it was a supply drop. |

Windy Miller, looks like a supply drop. Troops were in sticks of 18, there's not not that many being dropped and they and are not directly one after the other. JFI, the British did not issue a spare chute, saving 100 pds per man. The Americans issued them. |
