I'm thinking of giving Osprey's "Horizon Wars" a try. Could anyone who's played it give me their opinion or point me to a good review? I've enjoyed Nordic Weasels "LaserStorm" and "Epic Armageddon", and like combined arms sci-fi. |

I know the guy that wrote it did a youtube vid on how to play it. Might help. I have the book but never got to play it. |

Really fast playing. Easy to customize forces too. Have LOTS of D12s |

It's very different than Laserstorm or Epic. It's smaller scale (army size) requires more bookkeeping, and doesn't have much focus on control and command. It's more along the lines of a fast play Battletech than the other two. That said I really enjoyed it for Battletech style fights with a handful of mechs and tanks per side, but felt the infantry and air rules didn't mesh well. |

Thanks for the help. I've looked through the rules now and watched the videos. I agree with Logain so will stick with LaserStorm & Epic for the present. |
